21. The Help

By Kathryn Stockett

Rating:  5 of 5

I’m behind.  Haven’t seen the movie or read the book.  I picked this up at the lunchroom library at work.

This is an excellent book.  I’m amazed at authors who are this talented.

20.Sally Ride: Life on a Mission

By: Sue Macy

This is from the Juvenile section of the library.  The library had a few books on display, and this one caught my eye.

I’m not going to rate this one.  I enjoyed it.  It was a quick read.  I learned a lot I didn’t know about Sally Ride.  It was aimed at juveniles and was only a little over 100 pages.  I don’t know how to rate that.

19. 15th Affair

By James Patterson

Rating: 2.5 of 5

Some mindless drivel to help me catch up and clear the mental palate.

A formula book like this doesn’t really even deserve a rating.  This one was a little worse than usual, I think.  This employed a device I see in these series books occasionally – the main character suddenly decides she can’t trust someone she’s trusted forever, and their relationship breaks up over it. The same thing happened in the Kathy Reichs series.  I think that is really stupid.

This book should have gone quickly, but it was kind of boring.
