She writes about The Carol Burnett Show. This is an interesting book, if like Carol Burnett and her show. I can’t quite describe it, but the style of writing seems to show her personality. She uses lots of exclamation points and a combination of modern speech mannerisms (that surprise me, given her age) and speech mannerisms that seem more fitting her age.

This is this month’s book for the Pearland Library book club. My book club’s theme for next month is women’s empowerment, so this seemed like a good choice. So, far, I would call it a solid book. Not remarkable, not bad, just solid.
It gets pretty interesting in the Epilogue. One of the women in the book was buried near where I live. Three of the women died fairly young. Elizabeth is my favorite of all the characters.

This was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I haven’t started it yet, but it has good chapter titles. My friend says it is worth putting ahead of all the other books in my stack.
This is a very good book. A little quirky, but highly recommended.

This is our book club selection for September. I have a bias against this genre of book – Christian Romance/light mystery – but I liked this one OK in spite of my tendency not to.
